This essay blends personal and reported elements. In it, I share a bit of the chaos that erupted in our house when we brought our second baby home, along with interviews from other parents and parenting experts.
It was a hit on social and I heard from a lot of parents that it put into words things they'd felt never expressed out loud.
The piece was shared by a national expert I interviewed, whose readers then shared it some more. At last count, it was liked 8,000 times on Facebook, and drew readers from around the world.
Below is a screenshot of the analytics, illustrating the traffic the piece received. As of 6/1/17, it had received 60K page views. What I'm most proud of, though, is the average time on page: more than eight minutes. That means people were actually reading this rather long essay.
